Brian formed Diamond Head with Duncan Scott in 1976 - they played their first gig in 1977. LIGHTNING TO THE NATIONS was their first album which was released in 1980 - they signed to MCA in 1982 and their seond album BORROWED TIME reached number 24 in the charts.
In 1984, Metallica recorded and released a cover of Brian's song AM I EVIL - it was placed on 12" vynil as a 'B' side track. The band split in 1985 and Brian went on to form Radio Moscow, he was also running a 24 track studio and producing local bands at the time.
In the years that followed, Metallica went on to record a number of Brian's songs which lead to the band reforming and supporting Metallica in Milton Keynes at the National Bowl in 1993. Diamond Head then released a double CD 'Evil Live' recorded at the gig.
The next five years Brian worked with various bands including a Thin Lizzy tribute act and Quill. 1998 saw Metallica release all four of Brian's songs on their GARAGE INC. album. In 2000 he reformed Diamond Head to produce an acoustic album and then in 2002 they perormed in the USA at the legendary 'Metal Meltdown' festival in New Jersey, New York City.
In 2003 Diamond Head played at the Wacken festival and with their new vocalist Nick Tart in 2004, they recorded a new album called
'ALL WILL BE REVEALED.'
The band produced a music video of the track 'Mine All Mine' which is currently playlisted Guitarist TV. The video was filmed at JB's Live music venue in Dudley(UK) and produced by Mike de Jager (who later went on to from G-TV - the world's first guitarist web TV channel).
In 2005 the band completed a successful European tour with Megadeth and recorded their latest album IT'S ELECTRIC. In November 2005, the band recorded their concert at the Astoria in London and have now released the footage on a DVD titled "TO THE DEVIL HIS DUE."
